The 3rd Year result is where CGPA starts to matter beyond promotion, because Masters admission and most scholarship applications read this year closely.

Honours 3rd Year Result 2026

Third year carries the heaviest course load of the honours programme and the most departmental papers, which is why it also produces the largest number of revaluation applications every cycle. Students who plan to apply for Masters admission or for a government job circular should download the detailed marksheet on the day it is published — the cumulative CGPA shown here is the figure most application forms ask for.

Step by step

How to check Honours 3rd Year Result

Download and save the 3rd Year marksheet as a PDF the day it appears. Application portals ask for the cumulative CGPA and the result server can be slow months later.

Check online

The complete sheet, course by course, straight from the university.

  1. Open results.nu.ac.bd

A phone browser is enough. When Honours 3rd Year is published the site slows badly, so give every click time to land.

  2. Choose Honours 3rd Year

Pick the right course group first, then the year. Selecting the wrong year is the usual cause of a result not found message.

  3. Enter your roll or registration number

Copy the number exactly as printed on your admit card, with no spaces or dashes.

  4. Select the exam year

The dropdown wants the year the exam ran. Do not put your admission year into it.

  5. Press search

Your name, roll, course grades and CGPA appear. Save a screenshot or print the page.

Check by SMS

No internet needed, and it keeps answering while the website is jammed.

  1. Open your message app

Use the plain messaging app. No data pack and no smartphone are needed for Honours 3rd Year.

  2. Type NU H3 and your roll

For Honours 3rd Year the format is NU H3 123456, using your own roll number.

  3. Send to 16222

Send it to 16222 exactly as written. It works from any local SIM, prepaid or postpaid.

  4. Read the reply

A short message comes back to the same number. During the Honours 3rd Year rush the wait grows, so be patient.

Build the exact message below, copy it, and send it to 16222 from any mobile phone. H3 returns the short result only. For the CGPA you need the online marksheet.

You pay your operator's usual SMS rate and nothing more. The university charges no fee for this.

If the reply does not come

  • Check the spelling. It is NU, one space, H3, one space, then the roll — nothing else.
  • Registration numbers do not work by SMS. Use the roll printed on your Honours 3rd Year admit card.
  • Check the publication date first. Texting a day early produces silence, not an error message.
  • One message is enough. Repeated sends slow the gateway down for everybody.

Grades, points and CGPA

Honours 3rd Year Result with Marksheet

The 3rd Year sheet shows both a yearly GPA and a cumulative CGPA. Application forms usually want the cumulative figure.

  1. Open the result server

Go to results.nu.ac.bd and choose Honours 3rd Year.

  2. Use your registration number

The detailed sheet is keyed to the registration number, not the roll. Have your registration card in front of you.

  3. Select the exam year and search

You get the complete listing: college name, each paper, the grade earned and the points it carries.

  4. Read the grade column

Do not stop at the CGPA. One failed paper is easy to miss and decides whether you sit an improvement exam.

  5. Save or print it

Store the file somewhere safe — reprinting it months later is not always possible.

Board challenge

Honours 3rd Year Revaluation Application

If a grade looks far below what you expected, you can pay to have the script re-checked. Third year gets the highest volume of board challenge applications, so the review takes longer here than for other years. Apply early in the window rather than on the last day.

How to apply

  1. Read the revaluation notice

It names the exam, the courses that can be challenged, the last date and the fee.

  2. Open the application form

Use the board challenge option for Honours 3rd Year on the National University portal.

  3. Select only the courses you doubt

You pay for each course separately, so choose the ones where the grade is genuinely surprising.

  4. Download the pay slip

Keep the application number printed on it. You need it for payment and for follow-up.

  5. Pay the fee

Through the channel named in the notice — Sonali Seba at a bank branch, or the mobile option if the notice allows it.

  6. Hand the copy to your college

Colleges set their own internal deadline, always earlier than the university one. Do not leave it to the last day.

Open the application portal

Paying the fee

Pay only through the channel named in the Honours 3rd Year notice. Nobody from the university will phone you asking for money.

  • Sonali Seba Print the slip and pay at any Sonali Bank branch. Keep the stamped student copy.
  • Mobile banking bKash, Rocket or Nagad, where the portal shows the option for your exam.
  • Through the college Some colleges collect and pay in bulk. Ask your department before paying alone.

Worth knowing first

  • Revaluation re-checks the addition and any unmarked answer. It is not a fresh evaluation.
  • Most applications end with no change, and the fee is not refunded.
  • The revaluation result is final. There is no second appeal.
  • Keep filling up the form for your next year while the challenge is pending.

Honours 3rd Year Revaluation Result

Because so many 3rd Year applications are filed, the revaluation notice for this year is often published later than for 1st and 2nd Year.

How to check it

  1. Find the notice

Look on the National University notice board for a notice naming Honours 3rd Year and the words revaluation or board challenge.

  2. Download the PDF

Only changed results appear in the Honours 3rd Year file. Most rolls will not be there.

  3. Search your roll number

Search the PDF for your roll rather than scrolling. Every reader has a find function.

  4. Roll not listed

No change was found, so your earlier Honours 3rd Year grade and CGPA remain.

  5. Roll listed

Check the result server again. Your Honours 3rd Year grade and CGPA update automatically once the notice is out.

Asked by students

Honours 3rd Year Result — common questions

How can I check the Honours 3rd Year result 2026?

Select Honours and 3rd Year on results.nu.ac.bd, enter your roll or registration number and the exam year. By SMS, send NU H3 <your roll> to 16222.

Which CGPA do Masters admission forms want?

They ask for the cumulative CGPA up to the year stated in the admission circular. Read the circular carefully — some cycles ask for the 3rd Year cumulative figure and some wait for the 4th Year final result.

Why is my 3rd Year result showing but the marksheet is not?

The short result and the detailed marksheet are released from different parts of the system. The marksheet often follows a few days later, and colleges can see it on their own login before students can.

How long does 3rd Year revaluation take?

Two to four months is normal, and 3rd Year usually sits at the longer end because it receives the most applications of any honours year.

Can I improve my 3rd Year CGPA later?

Improvement is allowed only for courses you failed, and only within the limits of your session regulation. A pass grade you are unhappy with generally cannot be improved.
