Honours 4th Year Result 2026

This is the only honours result that carries a viva voce component in most departments, and it is the result the university uses to calculate your final cumulative CGPA across all four years. Once it is published you can apply for the provisional certificate, the transcript and Masters admission. Employers and the Public Service Commission read the CGPA printed on this result, so check every course line before you accept it as final.

Step by step

How to check Honours 4th Year Result

After the 4th Year result you also need the provisional certificate and transcript. Both are applied for separately, through your college, on the university portal.

Check online

Shows the whole result, not just pass or fail.

  1. Open results.nu.ac.bd

Type the address by hand instead of trusting a search result. On publication day the page can take half a minute to appear.

  2. Choose Honours 4th Year

Pick the right course group first, then the year. Selecting the wrong year is the usual cause of a result not found message.

  3. Enter your roll or registration number

Copy the number exactly as printed on your admit card, with no spaces or dashes.

  4. Select the exam year

Pick the year the examination was actually held. 2020-21 candidates often choose their admission year here and get nothing back.

  5. Press search

Your name, roll, course grades and CGPA appear. Save a screenshot or print the page.

Check by SMS

Works on any handset and survives the publication-day rush.

  1. Open your message app

Open the normal SMS app rather than a chat app. Internet is not used at any point.

  2. Type NU H4 and your roll

For Honours 4th Year the format is NU H4 123456, using your own roll number.

  3. Send to 16222

The gateway is 16222 for every course, Honours 4th Year included. No plus sign and no prefix.

  4. Read the reply

The reply usually lands within a minute or two. On the day Honours 4th Year is published it takes far longer, so do not resend straight away.

No internet needed

Honours 4th Year Result by SMS

Build the exact message below, copy it, and send it to 16222 from any mobile phone. H4 gives the short final result. The class or CGPA that goes on your certificate comes from the online marksheet.

If the reply does not come

  • Check the spelling. It is NU, one space, H4, one space, then the roll — nothing else.
  • The gateway reads roll numbers only — the registration number belongs on the website form.
  • No reply can also mean the result is not out yet, rather than a mistake in your message.
  • Wait fifteen minutes, then resend once. Millions of messages pile up in the first hour.

Grades, points and CGPA

Honours 4th Year Result with Marksheet

The 4th Year marksheet shows the final cumulative CGPA for all four years, plus the viva marks where your department holds one.

  1. Open the result server

Go to results.nu.ac.bd and choose Honours 4th Year.

  2. Use your registration number

Marksheets are looked up by registration number. The roll alone returns only the short result.

  3. Select the exam year and search

Everything appears at once — subject titles, letter grades, grade points and the CGPA line.

  4. Read the grade column

Check the grade beside every course. An F in one paper still needs clearing even if the CGPA looks fine.

  5. Save or print it

Save it as a PDF. Your college and later application forms will ask for these exact figures.

Board challenge

Honours 4th Year Revaluation Application

If a grade looks far below what you expected, you can pay to have the script re-checked. A 4th Year board challenge is worth considering only where a single grade is holding back your final CGPA, because the correction also updates your certificate figure.

How to apply

  1. Read the revaluation notice

It names the exam, the courses that can be challenged, the last date and the fee.

  2. Open the application form

Use the board challenge option for Honours 4th Year on the National University portal.

  3. Select only the courses you doubt

You pay for each course separately, so choose the ones where the grade is genuinely surprising.

  4. Download the pay slip

Keep the application number printed on it. You need it for payment and for follow-up.

  5. Pay the fee

Through the channel named in the notice — Sonali Seba at a bank branch, or the mobile option if the notice allows it.

  6. Hand the copy to your college

Colleges set their own internal deadline, always earlier than the university one. Do not leave it to the last day.

Open the application portal

Paying the fee

Use the payment route printed in the official Honours 4th Year notice and no other. Calls demanding a fee are always fraud.

  • Sonali Seba Print the slip and pay at any Sonali Bank branch. Keep the stamped student copy.
  • Mobile banking bKash, Rocket or Nagad, where the portal shows the option for your exam.
  • Through the college Some colleges collect and pay in bulk. Ask your department before paying alone.

Worth knowing first

  • Revaluation re-checks the addition and any unmarked answer. It is not a fresh evaluation.
  • Most applications end with no change, and the fee is not refunded.
  • The revaluation result is final. There is no second appeal.
  • Keep filling up the form for your next year while the challenge is pending.

Honours 4th Year Result — common questions

How can I check the Honours 4th Year final result 2026?

Choose Honours and 4th Year on results.nu.ac.bd and enter your roll or registration number, or text NU H4 <your roll> to 16222.

Open the detailed marksheet using your registration number. The final cumulative CGPA for all four years is printed at the bottom of that sheet.
